Johnford double column (DMC) and sliding double column (SDMC) machining centers outweigh and outperform the competition. Best of all, they won't break the bank. Ecoca's economical turning centers are ideal for high production and job shop operations requiring speed, power, and accuracy for small-parts turning. The SJ-20 is a 45 degree slant bed lathe that features linear ways for fast feedrates. The MT-310 is a 30 degree true slant bed box way lathe offering a 30 in. turn length.
Johnford turning centers are tough machines that are built to last with Meehanite castings, hand scraped ways, and pretensioned ballscrews.
The SL-500-2SY is a twin-spindle lathe with a full C axis with live tools. The Y axis provides vertical turret movement for complex off-center milling functions.

At Westec booth #3250, Absolute Machine Tools exhibited a lineup of machines ideal for aerospace machining, high-speed mold/die work, and general jobshop applications. Among the machines at the show:
You Ji YV-1000-ATC vertical turning center -- This machine is ideal for cutting medium/large size workpieces. The rigid vertical column and base are Meehanite castings, heavily ribbed for reduced thermal distortion and vibration dampening. The large square ram (7.1” x 7.1”), made from cast steel, is extremely rigid even when extended the full 31.5”. A moveable crossrail with 20” of travel is standard for taller workpieces. Gain 787 IPM rapids, 50 HP spindle, 12-position turret, and 53.14" swing in a highly productive VTC!
Johnford DMC-2100H vertical machining center -- Provides plenty of power and productivity in a 52,000 lb bridge mill -- the heaviest in its class! This heavy-duty 56 HP machine boasts box ways on the Z axis head and Y axis saddle and linear ways for X axis table traverse. Other features: 40 tool ATC and XYZ travels of 81" x 51" x 32". Accommodating 13,200 lb workloads on the table, the machine delivers rigidity, precision, and performance all in one value-priced package.
Johnford ST-40CX heavy-duty turning center -- Want a beefy turning center that has the power to handle even your heaviest cuts? You'll find everything you need in this 60 degree slant bed lathe. The machine takes full advantage of its 50 HP spindle motor and 4 speed gear box to provide plenty of torque at low RPM. A great turning center at a great price. This powerful, productive performer will be a highlight of Absolute's booth.
Johnford SV-48H vertical machining center -- Get a roomy VMC with XYZ travels of 48" x 28" x 25" -- great for larger jobs. The #50 taper VMC features 4 square box ways on the Y axis and fully supported table. Rapids are 944 in all axes. The VMC also features a 20 hp spindle with two-speed ZF gearbox that delivers 6,000 RPM. This machine delivers speed, rigidity, and precision along with productivity enhancing features you won't find on competing machines at any price!
