Johnford LC Series flat bed CNC lathes are the cost effective way to turn large parts. While available in standard sizes, these machine are often built to order per your requirements. Whether it is rolls, shafts, oil field parts, or large chucking applications, Johnford LC lathes are the machines to tackle the toughest jobs.

These machines features standard swings of 33", 41" , and 50" to go with spindle bores from 6" to 12" and center distances from 80" to 320". The machines can be configured to meet any requirement including a variety of chucks and vertical and horizontal turret configurations. Cast iron beds, hardened and ground ways, rigid spindles and high horsepower spindle motors coupled to 4 speed gear boxes provide the power and rigidity that you need.

The Johnford LC lathes are loaded with standard features including a chip conveyor, vertical 12 station turret, a programmable tailstock with built-in type live center, and a 3 jaw hydraulic chuck package. We can also provide 3 jaw manual, 4 jaw manual, or special fixtures. The LC lathes are equipped with the latest Fanuc controls.

If you need to turn long parts that require a steady rest, we offer a 4 bed way option on all of our standard 2 bed way lathes. The multiple bed ways allow the use of turn through steady rests that do not interfere with the carriage. Turning long shafts end to end is quick and easy - no need to stop and move a steady rest.
